Ministerial Visit Highlights Irish Innovation at Turmec

Visitor Minister Peter Burke, Enterprise, Tourism & Employment

We were honoured to welcome Minister Peter Burke to Turmec this week for an energising and impactful visit alongside some of Ireland’s leading organisations in Innovation & Waste Management Solutions. The energy was future-focused, collaborative, and full of momentum.

From inspiring discussions about the future of waste management and Irish innovation, to a hands-on tour of our manufacturing facility, the visit was a powerful spotlight on how companies like Turmec are redefining what’s possible in the circular economy.

This wasn’t just a photo op. Minister Burke offered genuine support opening doors to key connections in the USA to help Irish companies expand, collaborate, and succeed internationally. That’s the kind of partnership that drives real impact.

We were proud to be joined by:

  • Irish Manufacturing Research (IMR)
  • Harp Renewables
  • Irish Steel
  • Údarás na Gaeltachta

Each of these organisations shares a bold vision for the future and together with Turmec, we are exploring new ways to collaborate on shaping the next generation of waste management and circular economy solutions globally.

This visit coincided with the upcoming Comórtas Peile na Gaeltachta 2025, hosted by CLG Clann na nGael in Rathcairn—bringing even more relevance and pride to the occasion. It showed what happens when local culture, national policy, and forward-thinking companies come together for real change
