We are working our way through  a full rebuild of the Thorntons Balbriggan facility, delivering a major upgrade to enhance operational efficiency and throughput. The project included the installation of channel conveyors and modular conveyors, alongside significant structural works comprising nearly 38 tonnes of support steel, over 24 tonnes of walkways, and more than 11 tonnes of hoppers.

A range of leading OEM equipment was incorporated into the upgrade, including shredding technology, optical sorting and fuel analysis systems, air separation technology, and magnetic separation equipment we look forward to commissioning early May 2026.
